I flew with Air Tahiti Nui from Faaa to Paris via Los Angeles. I depared Faaa on nov. 2nd and landed in Paris nov. 4th. The airline owns 4 A340-300 planes and the oldest is just two years old. I flew in the newest called "Moorea". After three thourough inspections we departed exactly on-time at 23:19. When boarding the aircraft each passenger received a flower (Tiare). Each seat has its own entertainment system with movies, games and air-show. Seats are much wider and more reclinable than on f.e. a 747-400. Noise is also less than on a 747. The cabin-crew changed costumes three times during the flight. All drinks are free of charge (even champagne). After dinner they came round to close all the window shades. You get a nice "goodies-bag" with headphone, ear-plugs, eye-shades and refresh tissues. When there is no catering they still keep two cabin-crew on hand in the galley so you can walk up to them for a snack or drink. I have flown many times but never found such nice service and equipment combined. They fly three times weekly from Paris to Tahiti (via LA) and vice versa. Air France on three other days. To Tahiti I flew with Air France which was also good but no match for this Airline. The best way to get to French Polynesia and back if you ask me.
